Just need another ZFS drive for all the 1080p content I replaced which I had originally recorded using PlayOn (and manually edited with Premiere Pro to remove the beginning and ending nags). I also sprang for AnyStream Plus, but SF is the top choice these days. But I mainly just use it to alert me of new episodes I can grab with StreamFab. I have PlayOn Desktop Lifetime and reluctantly paid for PlayOn Home in order to keep up to date on shows with their Subscription feature. Since you can choose which audio tracks or subtitles to mix into your file, more tracks will take a little longer to get. PeacockTV takes much longer than Amazon or HBOMax at 1080. But it also depends upon which service you are downloading from. And I feel it is money well spent.Ī 30 minute show at 1080p takes roughly 3-5 minutes on my gig fiber connection. Due to your business model and most importantly lack of communication, I just gave a competitor $259 dollars and you will get nothing more from me. Records quicker (due to file download versus screencap), records more reliably (same reason), Records at higher resolutions, records more channels like Apple. It doesn't have some of the scheduling of PlayOn but otherwise is superior in every way. I am sure the channel will reappear at some point, with as little communication as it disappeared, but enough is enough. Then they removed Showtime, no communication, no nothing. In the 3 months since I started my trial for PlayOn there were plenty of warning signs. Although decent enough it doesn't have the same ability to reliably record things in groups as Playon. I tried Audials out, and even paid for it. Until a week ago I was leaning towards paying for a year license. After my anger cooled I decided I would give PlayOn Home a go for the 3 month trial period. At first I was adamant that I would not give PlayOn anymore money. So I have not been exactly happy since the abrupt invalidation of my lifetime license.
